Clive was the first drummer of Maiden. He performed on Iron Maiden, Killers, and The Number Of The Beast. He joint - wrote Gangland from the Number Of The Beast Album and also helped on the Run To The Hills B-Side - Total Eclipse. He was a very skilful drummer as he proves in songs such as Running Free, Total Eclipse and Purgatory. He was replaced by the insane Nicko Mcbrain in 1984 for the Piece of Mind album, but there has always been a strong debate over which one of them was the better drummer.
