This was Nicko Mcbrain's first album, and he shows his talent in the first five seconds in the intro to Where Eagles Dare. The album contains one of maiden's best songs The Trooper. The album had a more cryptic cover than some of the others, but all is explained in the main track Still Life. The story is that this dude was sure that there was something below this pool, and was trying to get someone to jump in with him, so the cover to the album shows Eddie locked up in a straight jacket.
